OPP OF THE DAY: Y’s Girls Mentoring Programme YMCA

At YMCA we truly believe that corporate charity partnerships should be beneficial to everyone. We work closely with all our partners to build strong and positive programmes, which benefit an organisations and their staff so that you can support YMCA in achieving our charitable aim. Supporting YMCA will help us to deliver real and lasting opportunities that change the lives of young people in your community.

At YMCA Black Country Group we are seeking local professionals to volunteer on our Ys Girl Programme across the Black Country.

To give you a little more background, the Y’s Girls programme is a nationwide YMCA initiative aimed at supporting young girls aged 9 -14 through the support and guidance offered by a volunteer mentor to support their mental health, wellbeing and transition through the challenges they are facing, we ask our volunteers for a commitment of at least 2 hours a week for a period of 12 months. This time is spent meeting with the young person and promoting engagement in community based activity.
