Would you like to support young people to become active health citizens by helping to deliver an engaging, fun and informative youth programme?
Youth Team Volunteers work with young people from a wide breadth of backgrounds, ensuring they really feel part of the St John family. Volunteers will help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be.
In this role, you will support the delivery of games, activities and training sessions during Unit meetings for young people aged either 5-10 years (St John Badgers) or 10-17 years (St John Cadets).
DBS CHECK REQUIRED
As you gain more experience, you can be involved in planning and delivering sessions as part of our youth programme, and taking on additional responsibilities such as encouraging and organising for young people to go on events.
Where:
Multiple venues across Dudley Council area, including Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen, Sedgley, and Stourbridge.
When:
Weekday evenings after 6pm.
Commitment/Duration:
Approx. 2 hours per week, every 1-4 weeks during school term time. Owing to the responsibility associated with this role, we look for volunteers who are able to remain involved for at least a year. There is no maximum period.
