OPP OF THE DAY: Volunteer Administration Assistant, Black Country Cohousing

Black Country Cohousing aims to build a vibrant, inclusive co-housing community in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. We are passionate about creating an accessible, sustainable and supportive place to call home, where residents of all ages and backgrounds can live in affordable, secure accommodation. We’re searching for an organised and friendly volunteer administration assistant to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our community running smoothly.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Organise and maintain member data in our database
Assist with membership applications and renewals
Manage meeting schedules and prepare agendas
Take minutes and distribute them to members
Provide administrative support to other volunteers and staff
Answer phones and emails in a professional and courteous manner

What we’re looking for:

Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite or similar software

Experience working in a non-profit or co-operative setting
A passion for accessibility and LGBTQ+ rights
