OPP OF THE DAY: Social Media Volunteer, Black Country Cohousing

Black Country Cohousing aims to build a vibrant, inclusive co-housing community in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. We are passionate about creating an accessible, sustainable and supportive place to call home, where residents of all ages and backgrounds can live in affordable, secure accommodation. About the Role

We seek an enthusiastic and creative volunteer to join our social media team. You will play a vital role in helping us to connect with our existing community, attract new members, and promote the benefits of housing co-ops and co-housing to a broader audience.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Create engaging and informative content for our social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
Share news and updates about Black Country Cohousing, such as events, members stories, and our ongoing projects.
Respond to comments and messages on social media in a friendly and helpful manner.
Help to develop and implement our social media strategy.
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.

What we’re looking for:

A passion for social media and a creative flair for storytelling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong understanding of the co-housing movement and its values.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
