After completing core training, volunteers will be matched with a mentee.
You will regularly meet with your mentee and work together to identify achievable goals to focus on; these goals should empower your mentee, building their skills and resilience and enabling them to move toward their full potential.
As a mentor, you can also help your mentee with accessing activities, services, skills workshops and trying new things.
All volunteer mentors are required to complete a session summary form each week and goal-setting forms every 6-8 weeks for the duration of their mentoring experience.
Where:
Wren’s Nest – Dudley (various public/community locations, e.g. Church, youth club, Sycamore Adventure)
When:
One session per week is expected, though days and times will vary depending on the availability of the mentor and mentee.
Commitment/Duration (min/max period):
1-2 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months, up to a maximum of 6 months
