An account on the Run Britain website is required (no fee to set up): https://www.runbritain.com/
Once an account is created, training/advice manuals are available on Run Britain website. If you’re unsure about the position, perhaps create an account and explore the documents available.
Race Director duties:
· Use Run Britain account to enter all details of the race and Fun Run for actual approval by Run Britain.
· Download the appropriate licences from the website for display at the event.
· Hold Marshalls Meeting, assign positions and instructions, attend on day of race to resolve any issues, be available as point of contact.
· Review risk assessment for event (risk assessment has already been submitted using last years)
· Experience of organising running races or similar events preferred.
Notes:
· Previous race director is happy to meet up to discuss or talk over the phone
· Training/advice manuals are available on Run Britain website once account is created.
· Club have been holding races for several years, so some elements have been completed/drafted from previous years (i.e. risk assessment) and you will not be “starting from scratch”.
